You Are Blessed In Christ

(The anointed one and his anointing, the burden remover and yoke destroyer)

Ephesians 1:3 – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.

Matthew 16:16-18Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Jesus is The Christ. Note, I said ‘The Christ’ not ‘a Christ’. Please be aware that there is only one legitimate heaven recognised Christ, Jesus Christ of Nazareth the righteous.

Today, we will be exploring our blessedness in Christ and who we are in Christ. It makes a world of difference when you recognise that you are already completely blessed in Christ. You begin to walk with a new reality in your daily life. I want you to know that we are not going to be blessed, we are not trying to be blessed; we are already blessed. It is a statement of fact and a present tense reality. You are blessed right now.

You may be wondering if I am truly blessed why then are things not looking blessed for me? My answer is, you have to put on the mind of Christ. You have to reposition and reset your mind to the truth that you are already blessed and make it your personal conviction, then the things around you will begin to respond to you.

Change begins on the inside first before it starts to manifest on the outside, that’s how it works. This truth is not to be used as a formula but as a way of life. In God’s kingdom every law responds to consistent commitment. Lock into the truth of who God has called you in Christ and begin to see yourself that way, then you will see a God dimension of life unfolding before your very eyes.

Start by calling yourself what God has called you. Note that the blessing is a gift so you don’t have to work for it; you just need to receive it as yours.

Finally, I want to encourage you to rise above mediocrity and get into your Bible, find out all that God has made you in Christ. I see you rise higher and higher in Jesus’ mighty name.

Personal declaration for the day

Jesus Christ is my burden bearer therefore I will no longer carry the weight of the world upon my shoulders. Today, I will cast my burden onto the Lord and enjoy the blessing of freedom from burden in Jesus’ might name. Amen.

Questions for you to reflect on

Do you know who you are in Christ?

Who are you?

How often do you carry burden and cares instead of rolling it over to the Lord?

What will you do the next time you find yourself carrying the weight of life on your shoulders?
