From the very beginning when the first words were uttered, the ability to communicate has played an important role in our world. Whether within our own thoughts, spoken or written, words have the power to transform the world we live in and beyond. Love, laughter, heroism, peace, joy, friendship, and virtually every emotion that we feel as human beings, can be inspired by words.

Unfortunately, fear, anger, hatred, failure and other negative emotions can also be invoked by words. As a matter of fact, everything can be inspired by words. Words frame one’s world. Words make the difference. Words create even when it doesn’t appear to be visible or instant.

As humans, we normally say words as they are appropriate to situations. When the situation is good, we say good things, but when the situation is bad, we say the bad. This is not supposed to be so.As believers, Christ desires to teach us the WORD OF LIFE, which is the word of God, to change what we say especially in the face of a challenge. These words of life are pure and powerful enough to crumble the worst of situations that are stubborn and unyielding to human will. All spirits are subject to these words. They must hear the word of the LORD. This is why they are higher words, superior to the words of men and negative forces.

Jesus informed us that these are words straight from our heavenly father: John 8:26-29, ‘I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you: howbeit, He that sent me is true; and THE THINGS WHICH I HEARD FROM HIM, THESE SPEAK I UNTO THE WORLD. They perceived not that He spake to them of the Father. Jesus therefore said,’When you have lifted up the Son of man, then shall you know that I am he, and that I DO NOTHING OF MYSELF, BUT AS THE FATHER TAUGHT ME, I SPEAK THESE THINGS. And He that SENT me is with me; He hath not left me alone; for I DO ALWAYS the things that are PLEASING to HIM.’

Jesus really came to save the lost teaching the WORD OF LIFE. We should put aside our own words and hold fast to His method from above. He confirms that the words that He’s teaching us are higher words from a higher realm; John 6:63 It is the spirit that giveth life; the flesh profiteth nothing: THE WORDS that I have SPOKEN UNTO YOU are SPIRIT, and are LIFE.’

Christ also emphasized that we need to believe God in our heart which is the seat of this WORD: John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: believe in God, believe also in me. This means that we need to start following God as our source, doing things as pleasing to Him. Just speaking His WORD won’t work. Following after Him and letting Him direct us will activate the power of the word of life in our lives.

John 7:37-38 …If any man thirst let him come unto me and drink. HE THAT BELIEVES ON ME, as the scripture hath said, FROM WITHIN HIM SHALL FLOW RIVERS OF LIVING WATER. God deals with the inside than on the outside. If the inside accepts the word, then the outside will follow suit. Those that believe in God are those that spend time with this word of life, and that is how to make the heart conducive for the word.
