Vision and Service

Exodus 25:9 & 40 – 9 According to all that I show you, that is, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall make it. 40 And see to it that you make them according to the pattern which was shown you on the mountain.

I will start by defining vision and service. Vision can be defined as the ability to see beyond your physical eyes into the future (supernatural revelation). It is the picture of the future that God has for a person or a group of people. Service is the work done for God in line with a specific vision that He has set before you.

Friend, God is a God of process and pattern. He is a God of objectivity and specifics. From the above scripture we can see that God had a clear-cut plan for how He wanted the temple to be built. It is by building it the way He has commanded that will bring God glory and honour. After all, the building of the temple was originally His idea. It is by doing things God’s way that they are defined as godly and as God-led service.

The God given vision for this ministry is to bring you to the total and clear revelation of Jesus Christ as your burden remover and your yoke destroyer, until no burden or yoke is left in your life. To serve God in this ministry means everyone must rally behind whatever action is required to ensure that Jesus Christ is revealed to everyone we come in contact with as their burden remover and their yoke destroyer, until every yoke and burden is removed and destroyed in their lives.

One would think God was being fussy by repeating Himself over and over again to Moses about how He wanted him to build a physical structure for Him but this structure is a reflection of a heavenly agenda. God gave him the details of the materials, the measurements and even specific people in some cases that should carry out the work. Please be aware that God has not changed so if He was specific with Moses, He will surely be specific with us, especially when it comes to the assignment He wants us to accomplish for Him with regard to the people’s destiny.

My job as your Pastor is to receive the pattern (vision) for the ministry from God and explain it to you. Your job is to receive it as God’s authentic access for your greatness. I have met many people who tell me what they plan to do for God and in some cases what they are doing for God. But when I asked if God told them to do it, they tell me not really but that some of their close associates told them to do it. Don’t get me wrong, these people are mostly sincere and they really want to serve God and they think they are serving God but it becomes clear after a while that they are sincerely wrong. Yes they are doing a kind of service but they are not doing a God-led service.

You will not miss the vision and you will serve God in line with His instructions and the vision will speak prosperity, favour and increase over you and all that is yours in Jesus’ mighty Name. Get into the vision and get the vision into you.
