Galatians 4:7

Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Friend, it is who we are in Christ that determines your status in life and not your material possessions or physical appearance. Our spiritual needs are our true needs. So also, our spiritual identity our true identity. You don’t judge a book by its cover but by its content. We reign in this life by our identity in Christ not by people’s opinion and choices. Our identity in Christ includes royalty – we are kings, priests, God’s diplomats, more than conquerors. We are set apart and special, a holy people, the light and salt of earth.

We are kings and royalty – A king has a kingdom over which he reigns. He has a domain and subjects. Our current domain is in this world and our kingship is accredited from heaven and obeyed by hell. Our subjects are angels and all things that God created with the exception of our fellow human beings. In Christ God has given us gifts, callings and the ability to mark our specific area of dominion.

Priests – Priests offer sacrifice onto God on behalf of the people, and receive a word to the people from God in order for them to enjoy divine blessings.

In the Old Testament under the old covenant the role of kings and priests were carried out by different persons and no one person can be a king and priest at once. However under the new covenant in the blood of Jesus we Christians have now been made kings and priest. We now have the power to administer God’s grace in our daily life and business and enjoy the victory of Jesus and offer sacrifice of praise and fruit of our lips to God.

God has chosen us to be His priest. Only God chooses whom he wants and how, what they are to bring as sacrifice and offerings of to him. He has chosen us as his vessels to bring him the sacrifices of praise and thanks. It is a great thing to know that God thinks very highly of you and has set you apart to be his priest. Every child of God is first called to be a priest onto God in their personal life and family before they are on any other assignment to the world.

So begin to live up to your calling as King and begin to reign over circumstance first in your life and then liberate the world around you. Begin to offer your life, gift, and talent, time to God on a daily basis and let him promote you and make you His masterpiece to the world. God created us ultimately for worship and as we worship him in spirit and in truth the best of heaven comes down.
