Gen 1:11-And God said, let the earth bring forth grasses, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after its kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth:  and it was so.

Gen 8:22-While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Yes! The kingdom of God works on the seed principle and we see this also in Gen 1:11 when God created the first herbs and trees by speaking to the earth and after which He gave the herbs and trees the ability to reproduce their kind. He put in them a fruit bearing the seed that has the ability to produce its kind. God gave every plant and animal He created the ability to multiply and replenish the earth through the seed principle so that He will not need to speak them into existence over and over again.

Yes! every things starts as a seed. Gods promises are wrapped in a seed form that must be planted otherwise it abides alone. Jesus reiterated this in John 12:34except a grain of wheat fall to the earth and die, it abides alone: but if it dies, it brings forth much fruit. The seed activates and gives life to the promise. The covenant of seed time and harvest will only be enforced the moment a seed is planted because the seed carries in it the power of the spoken word to produce its kind.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he reap. Gal 6:7

This follows that if you have any need, look for the seed of that need and sow it! Then expect the harvest. Why?  God has commanded the seed to produce its kind. Perhaps the last word a seed heard is ‘grow’ so a seed does not know how to do any other thing but to grow. Your seed can be your money, your time, your energy, gift or talent or your substance. Whatever it is, there is in that seed the ability to reproduce its kind when planted. So the point is; the seed must be planted. A farmer who expects a harvest in the coming season will ensure he does not miss the seed time otherwise he will become a beggar in the time of harvest.

Friends, your seed is your harvest in your hand, it’s in potential state and can only be activated when planted. Consider a farmer who carries his seeds in a bag everywhere he goes, what do you think will happen to him? He has only built a wall of containment around his future because the seed he is carrying is his future. Friends, note that your seed is your future and what you do with it now will determine what becomes of you in the future. If a farmer chooses to eat all of his harvest in a particular season without reserving any for the next planting season, he has only eaten his future now. Responsibility they say is also the ability to deny oneself of a present enjoyment  for a desirable future.  If what you have in your hand is not enough to be your harvest, then convert it to a seed for a desirable harvest. Eat it all, loose it all.

Another point I will like to express based on the characteristics of a seed is that the quality and quantity of your seed will determine the quality and quantity of your harvest. Remember that scripture in 1 Cor 9:6, ‘he that sows sparingly shall reap sparingly and he that sows bountifully shall equally reap bountifully’. Also note that every seed was given a name so that the farmer can identify his harvest in the field. Adopt the habit of naming your seed so as to know when the harvest comes. Sowing without naming is like sowing without expectation to receive.

Finally words are seeds. Consider a farmer who sows a seed today and goes back every day to open the earth to check the state of the seed. This will not help the seed to grow. This is exactly what happens when we give without a corresponding positive confession of the expected harvest.  Words are like water that waters our seed, stop destroying your harvest with your negative confession. No one is oblivious of what is happening around us, stop speaking your now but speak your future. Stop saying what you are seeing and start saying what you desire to see. Remember the worlds were framed by the word of God, so you can also frame your own world by the words you speak.
