The Profile of a Redeemed Person Part 2

John 8:36Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

Who is Christ? He is the anointed one – the burden remover and the yoke destroyer, the Son of the living God.

Why did Jesus come to die for me? After Adam fell, man was living under the curse of the law. Jesus came to take my place, to take my poverty, sickness and any other iniquity I may have had. He placed them all upon Himself so that by giving His life for me, by becoming my substitute and paying the price I will be redeemed from the curse of the law.

When did my redemption begin? It began over 2000 years ago when Jesus said the words “it is finished” on the cross. When Jesus uttered those words and died, my redemption was accomplished. So I am the healed; the devil is trying to make me sick because Jesus bore my sickness and redeemed me from the curse of sickness. My redemption is done. I am not waiting for it to happen. But I will have to take authority and enforce it and remind the devil that my freedom have been bought and paid for; that he doesn’t even have a share in my life!

Being born again is not enough by itself to keep you from living under the influence of the curse. I had to become as knowledgeable in my godly rights as I was in my human rights as a citizen of Ireland. A good example of this is that it is illegal for anyone to enter my house without my permission; that is what Irish and Nigerian law says. I know that and will enforce that law if anyone violates it. This is true of the devil also; he has no legal right in your life as a child of God. He can only enter with your permission; don’t allow lack of knowledge of your heavenly rights to allow him gain entry. Be an enforcer of those rights.

Kenneth Hagin in his book, Redeemed from poverty, sickness and spiritual death wrote of a lady doctor by the name of Dr Yeomans, who became addicted to morphine and was injecting high doses of the drug daily. Thankfully, Dr Yeomans became knowledgeable in what her redemption in Christ actually meant and was delivered from that addiction. She and her sister went on to set up a house for people that doctors believed couldn’t be saved as their diseases were terminal. A woman with tuberculosis came and Dr Yeomans got her to make this confession over her life daily.

“In Deuteronomy 28:66; Tuberculosis is a curse of the law but in Galatians 3:13 it says Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law. Therefore I do not have tuberculosis as I am redeemed from it”. Within two weeks of confessing, this lady was healed. Praise God! Just saying it didn’t heal her, if that were the case she will have been healed the very first time she spoke. Her healing took her two weeks because that’s how long she took to get the revelation, believe it in her heart, know her spiritual rights and exert her authority in Christ Jesus. Over to you start to exert your authority and you will surely get results. Amen

Have a blessed day in the name of Jesus.

Personal declaration for the day

Galatians 3:13 say that Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law, therefore I am redeemed from (name your problem) and it has no place in my life in the name of Jesus. This week why not rediscover what your godly rights are and start enforcing them.
