The Profile of a Redeemed Person
Genesis 1:27-28 – So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
I thank the Lord for what He is revealing to us. I can give first hand testimony, when you receive this revelation of the who, what, where, when and why’s of Christ it will change your life and I am blessed to be enjoying such insight. Praise the Lord!
I thank God and am honoured to be able to share with you some of how I caught this revelation and how it is changing and transforming my life.
One night, my husband and I were reading before bedtime. I began reading my Bible and was reading the book of Deuteronomy 28:15-end which is the chapter describing the curse of the law. As I read down through each verse I realised that some of the things that were stated in the curse were actually happening to me. As my bedside lamp illuminated the words of the chapter on my page I began to cry for I realised, even though I was a born again spirit filled Christian, I was still living under a curse. How could this be and why? I turned and looked at my husband and realised that these curses didn’t seem to be manifesting in his life, only mine.
This brought a thought to my mind: maybe God’s word is not true; maybe I serve a partial God that has favourites or I am just not good enough, after all I had given my life to Christ. I worked hard in the church; I read my Bible and walked in His ways. I turned to my husband with tears in my eyes and said “ I’m cursed” he looked at me and I began to list the curses and how they pertained to my life and my husband did what he always does and quoted the word of God to me.
Galatians 3:13-14
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
I took this to God and He revealed to me that He wasn’t a partial god and my husband’s god was not greater than mine. He is the same God who never changes. However, my husband had a lot more knowledge in the area of his redemption than I had. Yes I was born again, spirit filled and saved but I did not know just how saved I actually was. Jesus had not only saved me from spiritual death he had saved me from living a life of sickness and lack. I don’t have to wait until I go to heaven to see the results of my salvation. While on this earth I’m also saved and should see the results of that salvation in my life.
I should be a living victory, a testimony of what Jesus did when he went to the cross for me. “Thy kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven,” Jesus Himself said, so that my life on earth should be as it will be in heaven.
In Hosea 4:6 the scriptures say, “my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. The new living Bible says, My people are destroyed because they don’t know me.
I believe the knowledge that the Bible speaks of here is the knowledge of who Christ is, who Christ Jesus is in me and what His purpose was for dying for me. What is the result of His dying for me? These are some of the first things we learn when we become born again; but do we have a true revelation of it?
It was my lack of knowledge or revelation of Christ that had allowed the devil to contest (and he will try contest it) my redemption from the curse of the law.
I tend to go to God when tribulations arise with the prayer “God will you do this for me?” But once I caught the revelation of Christ, my prayer language changed and I now go to God saying “thank you Lord, this is what you have done so I am not going to allow anything to take it from me, keep me strong in my faith Lord in Jesus’ name.” I won’t go to God now with a “will you do” prayer, I now go with a “what you have already done for me” revelation prayer.
It is my job to hold on to the revelation of Christ that God has given me, to treat this knowledge like a precious jewel and hold onto it tightly. To know that if I don’t ever know anything else in the world this revelation will sustain me. It is my revelation of Jesus Christ as my burden remover and yoke destroyer that will make me a victorious Christian, living a wonderful, beautiful and happy life.
