Galatians 2:20 reads, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
Glory to God almighty, who put the Spirit of His Son in us whereby we may cry “Abba Father.” This period is an exciting time for me because my understanding of the indwelling Christ took an upturn. Suddenly, it struck me as I began to read the pages of the Book of Life that the plan of God for me is to up-play on the Christ dwelling in me.
“I am crucified with Christ,” suggests that my old nature and its drivers have been nailed on top of the cross of redemption (Rom 6:6) in order to free me from the covenant of death that I inherited as a result of my link with the first Adam who was a living soul. I was resurrected from the dead through the resurrection of Christ, I was linked up with the second Adam which is Christ (the Anointed One and His anointing, the burden remover and the yoke destroyer) and praise God the second Adam is a life giving Spirit.
Like me, your life is driven by the life force of Christ and not by your passions or the whims and caprices of your environment. In Christ, you must recognize that you are in the flesh but you do not walk after the flesh so that you do not judge after the sight of the eyes neither reprove after the hearing of the ears (Isa 3:11b) because you realize that you are not a mere man or woman, you are Christ centred and Christ Driven.
Many believers today are living a life of defeat because they play down on the Christ in them and live a life of struggle trying to get things done in the flesh instead of beckoning to the Christ in them. They forget that the greater one resides within and reduce Christ to an ordinary tenant in their life and their fears and frustrations as landlord. It is not enough for Christ to be living in you; Christ must be ALIVE IN YOU! You may have suffered some setbacks in life before now but praise God because the life you now live draws its force from a force that is greater than all the challenges that life can ever throw in your path.
The life you now live in the flesh is a life of victory, a life of success, a life of rest, a life of excellence because you carry within you the burden remover and the yoke destroyer.
Stop looking behind you and beside you for what to lean on, look within where Christ lives. Go on, go further and go all the way because the greater One is inside of you.
