The Impact of Grace

2 Corinthians 13:14 – The grace(favour and spiritual blessing) of the Lord Jesus Christ .be with you all AMEN(so be it). (Amplified version)

Psalm 5:12 – For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. (KJV)

The message of Psalm 5:12 rang in my heart years ago when I relocated to the Republic of Ireland. And God added “… I will bless you”, to which I answered, “Yes Lord”. Living in a new environment is very different and can be challenging. The way the system operates is different from what you are accustomed to. This will either discourage you or make you latch on tightly to God.

I decided to take the second option, to latch onto God and I can sincerely tell you that it has really paid off. Not because I am smarter or stronger but because of the grace that God has made available to me and taking advantage of it. Grace simply means undeserved favour. All of us deserved judgment, condemnation and problems to mention a few and there is no living being in the world that deserved anything good but God, through Jesus, made a way of escape and turnaround for us all. And we have this privilege forever. By this I mean it will never be taken from us.

But with all this privilege most Christians are not enjoying a life of abundance. Why is that you may ask? It’s because most believers still carry the old mindset into the new life in Christ. As the scriptures clearly show no one put a new wine in an old wine skin lest the wine skin burst and both the wine and the wine skin were destroyed.

After you access the grace of God, the next step is to adopt the mindset of a graced person and do away with the mindset of a disgraced person. Begin to see yourself as accepted in the beloved and deserving the good things of life. Expect good things to happen to you and for you. Expect yourself to be a blessing to people so that when people come in contact with you the grace of God on you overshadows them and they will be supernaturally transformed. And surely they will come back for more.

But before we can affect and change our world we need to put on a new mind or else we will still be minding the same things and people. As long as you follow the dictate of the old man (unsaved mindset), the devil will control you remotely and he’ll be in charge of your affairs. But if you put on the mindset of God’s word of grace you will be in control of the affairs of the world around you.

Friend, I prefer to be in control than to be controlled by the devil, so I made a conscious decision to ensure that I carry the mentality of a blessed person. I expect to be loved, rewarded, helped, promoted and liked at all times. I look forward to every moment of my life with a positive attitude and mindset. I don’t allow anything or anyone to steal my joy or expectation.

Friend, it is time to enjoy the grace of God, to start to imagine yourself getting the blessing you never deserved and see yourself amount to the great things that you could not achieve by your own power. Today, I have given you one of my foremost secrets to success. I am still on the march and enjoying the grace of God. Now start to enjoy the grace of God and begin to accept and enjoy the benefits without feeling guilty about it.
