The Effect of Use of The Blood and Name of Jesus

Luke 10:17-19 – “Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you”.

Acts 9: 32-35 “Now it came to pass, as Peter went through all parts of the country, that he also came down to the saints who dwelt in Lydda. There he found a certain man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden eight years and was paralyzed. And Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus the Christ heals you. Arise and make your bed.” Then he arose immediately. So all who dwelt at Lydda and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord”.

1John 1:7 – ”But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin”.

Some years ago, one of our members in Lagos was attacked by armed robbers and his motorbike and money were taken from him. Furthermore, a diabolic substance was blown into his face to put him to sleep by the roadside. After days of tireless search, his family found him unconscious by the roadside. They could not get him to stand by himself and he was not in his right mind. When his family could not solve the problem they brought him to the church for prayer. When they brought him to me I asked them for his name which they told me. I called his name in the name of Jesus and he jerked back to life and he came back to his right senses and mind. He saluted me. I asked him if he knew who I was he said ‘yes sir you are the pastor’. I then sent him home with his family.

Last year when I was in Lagos he came to visit me and left me a note that he now works in a bank. He later called me and reminded of me about the incidence. Friends, you have this same authority in the name of Jesus. You can serve a quit notice on the devil and stop him from messing around in your business and family. This is the hour of power! use it and you will be better for it.

Earlier this year a member of our church in Ireland was involved in a terrible accident. The young man was driving home from the university in his car and less 15km from his house a tree fell on his car and hit his head while in his car. He was rushed to the hospital and was operated on through the night. The doctor had to open his skull to carry out part of the operation. The doctors gave a grim report about him. On the way to the hospital the brother of the young man called me and I prayed with him in Jesus name and covered them with the blood of Jesus. I went to the hospital a day or two later and when I saw the state of the young man and the terror on the faces of the family I knew we needed a miracle working power to be unleashed. At this moment he was in an induced coma and the doctors were not optimistic about his future. Without further ado I prayed and invoked the power in the name of Jesus and spoke restoration and miraculous healing over him. Each day they went to the hospital the doctor gave them the same grim report. I encouraged the parents to believe in the power in the name of Jesus. When I saw that they were overwhelmed by the challenge I told them if they wanted to give up that I understand but I am not giving up on this boy. I have enough faith to raise him up and snatch him from death’s door.

Friends, that same night his conditioned changed and God did it through the power in the name of Jesus. The young man has been raised up and snatched from death’s door. I have spoken with him several times after he was discharged from the hospital; he is alive, well, improving and we believe God for a total restoration. The doctor that said there was no hope saw the young man and admitted his recovery was a miracle. Friends, these are real problems faced by real people and solved by our real Jesus.
