The benefits of the covenant
Philippians 4:15-19 –Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only. For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities. Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account. Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God. And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
The benefit of the covenant is immeasurable. Jesus gave Himself as a seed and so far He has reaped about 1 billion souls that are filled with the Holy Spirit into the kingdom of God. When you become covenant-minded you become abundance- minded. You will realise that what you give you do not lose. Your seed may leave your hand but it does not leave your life. Your seed is on an assignment for you and it will return as the harvest you expect. Everything I do I see as a seed awaiting harvest. I carry the consciousness that I am God’s partner and live with God in mind and I know that God does everything with me in mind. The Bible says God is mindful of us. Because I am in covenant with God, I am His representative and He is my representative. When you understand the covenant you will realise that the battle of life is not yours, it is God’s.
Part of the terms of the covenant is that we sow our seed and God multiplies it for us. If we sow nothing God will only multiple nothing. It is your seed that determines your harvest. Friend, your harvest in life depends entirely on the seed you sow. So, watch what you sow and how you sow. If you want abundance of something then sow the thing in abundance. Walking in covenant with God is the key to rising above the limitation that life places on mankind. The covenant is the cure to the economic crunch. Begin to operate it now.
