Deuteronomy 26:7-8 And when we cried unto the Lord God of our fathers, the Lord heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression: And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders: (KJV)

Signs and wonders refer to supernatural occurrences that are brought about by divine intervention and this is the result of a mighty move of God’s power.

Signs and Wonders have not become extinct and is still very relevant in the now. Many have experienced divine intervention but have relegated these occurrences to luck or just mere coincidences and think these wonders are for a selected few. Our God is the same yesterday, today and forever, hence; if He did it then, He would do it again.

A Sign is from the word signal, it means an occurrence that shows or points to something. An individual can embark on a journey to a place he has never been with a map for a direction; usually there will be signs and posts to guide and give us confidence that we are in the right direction. A driver’s indicator lights are a signal and sign to inform others of his next intention and move. God showing us signs should tell us that His plans for us are good. Signs are therefore supernatural indication from God.

Wonders refers to supernatural occurrences that are unexplainable by the laws of nature. This involves God’s divine intervention in situation and circumstances to cause changes that transcend physical capabilities. This is a creation of what was not previously in existence into reality. A wonder is a marvellous thing that would be obvious to all with concrete evidences of God’s power. Wonders are happenings of restoration where hope was previously lost. It is a manifestation of extra on the ordinary and super on the natural.

The children of Israel suffered affliction in a strange land for about 430 years; slavery had become the status quo from one generation to the next. Breaking free seemed impossible and seemed like an uphill task which would never be attained. For many years they cried and prayed for deliverance and it all seemed liked like a dream that would never see the light of day! Friends, a wonder are what happened when God turned around the captivity of Zion! It is my prayer that impossible situations in our lives will be turned around into a testimony.

They needed a miracle to escape from the oppression as they were facing life sentence of slavery. The scriptures declare God brought them out with a mighty hand and with signs and wonders. God showed their enemies through signs that He was with them and manifested His wonders by bringing them out of long standing oppression into total deliverance.

Walking in Signs and Wonders

Isaiah 8:18

Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion. (KJV)

Experiencing Signs and wonders is beyond desiring or having a need but walking in the realm and revelation that these supernatural encounters are for you. This realm is activated by knowing the times and seasons.

We expect rain when there is dark clouds, humid condition, thunderstorms etc. The change in weather is a sign for us of a likelihood of rain. We also expect roses to bloom from mid spring to fall. We and all we have are to experience the supernatural move and grace of God but we must believe and have a preparatory heart of this mighty move of God.

The Red Sea was parted to reveal dry land for the children of Israel in Exodus 14:22, every obstacle in your path as a child of covenant will give way and there will be a turnaround of our captivity.

Jesus indeed turned water to wine in John 2:1-11, hence, there is a move from the ordinary and insignificance to relevance as the Lord breathes upon all that concerns you.

Money was produced from the mouth of a fish in Mathew 17: 24-27, therefore your financial breakthrough is coming from unlikely sources for you and yours.

Jesus commanded the storm to be silent in Mark 6: 45-45, so will every raging storm and situation ceases in your life.

Brethren, are signs and wonders still relevant? The answer is yes. Have you ever needed a miracle to turn your mess into a message! The time is now.

There is nothing too difficult for God, hence nothing is beyond your reach as there will be a physical manifestation of the supernatural occurrences in our lives. Miracles, signs and wonders have been in existence and experienced from creation. It is your season and therefore your time.
