Revelation 3:7-8
“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.” (King James Version)
In the above scriptures we can see that the key to the doors of success, health, prosperity etc. is not in the hand of the enemy but in the hand of Jesus. It is also clear from these verses that He has already set before us an open door. But you may be asking – where do I enter it from? Where is the door located?
You will only locate the door and enter through God’s word. Remember it is written, “thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” Some think they have the key to the success of another but I submit to you that the key to your success as a child of God is in the safe hands of Jesus and all you need to do is to sit at his feet and receive instruction.
I discovered sometime ago as I was reading and listening to Kenneth Copeland’s messages that some of the things God was revealing to him at that time He was also revealing to me in my private study. My wife Patricia even observed and mentioned it. Then I asked God why I was not getting results of the same magnitude as Brother Copeland was getting. God told me without reservation that he was giving more earnest heed to the revelation. He said, ‘Do you observe that he has staked his whole life on that message and is milking it and feeding on it as much as possible?’ I discovered that we do not need another revelation but to feed on and milk the ones that have already been revealed to us.
I was reading a book by Kenneth Hagin and I also found out that we share the same insight on certain scriptures in the Bible. He shared some testimonies that came out of the revelation he got from this particular scripture and I observed that I have not gotten that level of result. Then I saw, in later chapters of the book that he spent hours upon hours, days and even months meditating on those scriptures and confessing them. Then I checked my self and saw that I had barely meditated and confessed those scriptures on and off but not as consistently as he did. Then I discovered the reason for my haphazard results. From then on I committed myself to the law of consistency and continuity.
Let me warn you, it is better to know little and make the most of it than to know much and make nothing of it. Herein lies the secret, people’s secrets are in their stories.
Jesus has the key, He has set before you an open door but you need to take steps into the door. How did Joseph enter the palace from the prison? When he got word that Pharaoh wanted him, he shaved himself (preparation), He changed His raiment (presentation), and he focused his gift on the problem at hand. And you know the rest of the story. He became the Prime Minister of the Egyptian Empire. The world is looking for problem solvers not problem creators. The problem you are ready to solve will determine the door you will enter into. I naturally drift away from problem creators because my time is too precious to waste.
Now it’s over to you, to take the right steps towards the future you have always dreamed of. You will not miss your opportunity in Jesus mighty name! In conclusion I would like you to know that I am always prepared for opportunities and I never shy away from challenges because sometimes inside them lies a gold mine. May God grant you understanding!
