Genesis 1:1

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light……6 And God said, Let there be a firmament …….9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered…….11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass,……….. And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night…………And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life,……….. And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind………….And God said, Let us make man in our image………….And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing..

31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.”

From the above scriptures you will see that although the Spirit of God was moving on the face of the deep yet the earth was still void and in darkness until God spoke. This implies that you may be full of the Holy Spirit and yet suffer in the hands of the devil if you keep your mouth shut.

The law of positive confession cannot be over emphasised because it is the only way we can create and have the kind of life we desire. I have come across many Christians but there is no proof that they are on top or winning in any shape or form in their lives. I am of the school of thought that says, ‘if it is not manifesting on the outside then it does not exist on the inside’. Our lives are not meant to be a perpetual struggle.

If you are not full of it, your mouth will not declare it and if your mouth does not declare it, it cannot be created. In Matthew 12:35-37, the Bible says, “A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”

You cannot call the dog and get the cat. Everybody’s greatness is on the inside of them but it takes an outer expression through speaking to arrive at that greatness. A wise man said, ‘when I was told what I couldn’t do, where I couldn’t go and who I couldn’t become then I said to myself my next hero would be me.’

I learnt from the Bible that Jesus Christ our Lord was always proclaiming who He was in God’s divine agenda. He made confessions like, ‘I am the light of the world’, ‘I am the salt of the earth’, ‘I am the resurrection and the life’, ‘I am the good shepherd’, etc. and everything He called himself He surely manifested. Some may say but that is Jesus Christ, I am not Jesus Christ, that may be true but Jesus Christ lives in you. Please be aware that Jesus did not get all the results He got just because He was the son of God, He got them because he practised the law of confession.

Despite all the prophecies given by the prophets before He was born, He still had to confess those prophesies consistently for them to come to pass. If He didn’t declare who He was in God’s agenda, He would have remained only the son of Joseph the Carpenter. Not that there was anything wrong with that but He would have missed out on God’s agenda for Him and we would not have been saved as we are today. But thank God Jesus never kept quiet He kept speaking and the more He spoke the more God showed up and the more the prophecies were fulfilled.

It’s over to you to make your life what you really want it to be. Never forget this, “A law is a principle that has predictable consequences based on an act”, if you apply it, it will work for you the way it has for me.
