2 Samuel 22:36 – Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me great.

The word gentleness comes from the Greek word chrestotes, which means to show kindness or to be friendly to others, mild, and benevolent.  It is said that when gentleness is applied in inter –human relationships, it conveys the idea of being adaptable to others. Rather than harshly requiring others to adapt to ones own needs and desires. When a person expresses the gentleness of Christ, the person is compassionate, considerate, and sympathetic.

For example in order to save humanity Jesus Christ took upon Him the form of a man. Paul in order to reach the Jews, he became as Jews, to save the Greek he became as Greeks. So the fruit of gentleness makes you selfless and sacrificial.

Friends, supernatural gentleness is not sitting quietly and looking the world go pass you. It makes you stand up and be agreeable so as to strengthen others or support a vision. It makes you compassionate and adaptable. Friends, as you bear this fruit and the people around you partake of this aspect of you, you will set yourself up for greatness, remember divine gentleness makes you great.
