Satan shame on to you, all power belong to Jesus, shame on to you all power belongs to Jesus….

This is a very common song in Nigeria, very melodious and sounds very spiritual. The song is confirmation of the scripture in the book of Matthew 28:18.

‘And Jesus came and spoke unto them saying; All power is given to me in heaven and in earth’ Matt 28:18.

Yes I believe this but this is no longer news to the devil because he knows this and of course he trembles. What is news is that fact that Jesus has delegated this power to believers like me. Look at what the scripture says below.

‘Behold,  I  give unto you power to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19

Yes! This is news! It’s worth talking and singing about and I dare to remix this song by saying ‘Satan shame unto you, all power belongs to ME’….. This should be our song and let the devil and his cohorts know that the same power that defeated them and made a public show of them, triumphing over them in victory according to Col 2:15, has been handed over to Christians that chooses to believe and work in this consciousness. Jesus disarmed them, took the victory and handed it over to us. No wonder he said ‘Occupy till I come’ Luke 19:13. As long as Jesus is still away, we are the custodians of this power.

The Greek word for POWER used in the scripture in Luke 10:19 is EXOUSIA, meaning authority or delegated authority. He has delegated His power to us to use and continue from where He stopped. It is important to know here that the devil really does not have any power anymore and all he does is to harass people who do not know that he has been stripped of his power and because of lack of knowledge and perhaps unbelief, such people will unknowingly relinquish their powers to the devil and he turns around and use the same power to oppress them. That is why it is written that the enemy has come to steal, kill and destroy. John 10:10. However such ignorant Christians still has the power to take back what belongs to them when knowledge comes. James 4:7 says, ‘submit yourself to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Friend, it’s time to take back all the Power we have arrogated to the devil and begin to use them as Jesus intended. Power is abused when it’s in the wrong hands, it belongs to you and I but we must believe this and walk in this consciousness at all times. The scripture in Eph 1:17-20 compared the power available to us with the same kind of power God used when He raised Christ from the dead. This is resurrection power and therefore confirms that we can bring back to life things or situations that are seemingly dead. We can change the course of life, we can create and re-create just like God. No wonder Jesus said greater works shall ye do because I go to my Father. We have the ability to do greater things than Jesus did but we need to know this. The power you don’t know you have, you cannot exert. What we have is ALL POWER and not some; nothing was left in the hand of the enemy when He disarmed them. Let’s quickly do a preview of the power and authority Jesus gave to us.

POWER OVER DEATH

Hebrew 2:15 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself took part of the same; that through death, he might destroy him that had power over death, that is the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

What this means is that the devil initially had the power over death but this was taken from him by Jesus and forms part of the power handed over to us. Therefore, the devil has no power to harass you with death. You cannot die before your time NO! Jesus gave you everlasting life and has delivered you from the fear of death. Remember Christians don’t die, we only sleep to wake up on the other side and continue to live. You shall not die but you shall live! Untimely death is not your portion in Jesus name! The power of death has been broken, Jesus has swallowed up death in victory and handed over to you that same power, receive it in Jesus name.

O death where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Cor 15:54

Other powers such as was handed over to us:

Power over sin Rom 6:14 Sin shall not have dominion over you

Power over Sickness– by His stripe you have been healed. 1 Peter 2:24b

Power over Poverty– Thou shall remember the Lord your God for it is He that give you power to get wealth that he may establish his covenant which swore unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
